Final Provisions

This category maps States’ positions on including in the text of the treaty effective final provisions and entry into force mechanisms. Effective final provisions would not allow reservations that would be incompatible with the Treaty’s purpose. Effective entry into force mechanisms would not include a requirement for excessive number of ratifications, nor for specific states or groups of states to ratify the treaty, before it could enter into force.
